Services

  • Candy Cane My Yard: Candy canes hidden in yard + letter from elf on shelf. Optional add ons: “Magical reindeer food” Cocoa and a mug, etc
  • Egg My Yard: Offer a service to hide easter eggs.
  • Photo Fundraiser: Take individual and troop photos in uniforms, with various Girl Scout props/background or at a camp property
  • Host badge work or fun patch for younger Scouts
  • Car Wash: See if a local gas station has space and will allow you
  • Spaghetti Supper/Pancake Breakfast: Large, easy to make meal. Plenty of different roles for everyone
  • Parents night out: Themed babysitting with activities, snacks, crafts.
  • Gift Wrapping: Wrap presents for parents or at the mall

Other Ideas

Flamingo Flocking: Pay to “Flock” someone’s house with Flamingos. They can pay for removal or to flock someone else. You leave a packet with info including who paid to have them flocked and how they can get in touch with you to remove or have moved.

Slime Sales and DIY Slime kits: For an in person craft show or sale where there are lots of kids. A 3oz cup for $1. Make 4 colors, and then make 4 packs and 2 packs in addition to the singles. Can also sell ‘make your own slime’ kits for $3.

Yard Sale: Collect items and hold a large yard sale

Harry Potter holiday event ( Yulefest and New Years): Host a holiday event for others themed around Harry Potter. People pay ahead of time to secure their spot. They could ask for a specific house or be sorted. Have a wand shop. Make wands from dowels and chopsticks. Make themed food. Have crafts, games, trivia and watch the movie. Drop off at 6:30 and pick up at 9:30. Award house points for the games and “homework.”

Charlie Brown Halloween/Thanksgiving: Create 4 stations with activities, and they can be focused on just Thanksgiving crafts/songs/games/stories. The stations take about 10-12 minutes each, and then the whole group watches the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie and eats Snoopy’s Thanksgiving feast (popcorn, jelly beans, pretzels and toast)

Craft Show/sale: Good for a Service Unit or multitroop activity. Sell homemade dog treats, dog toys made out of recycled t-shirts, and painted wooden spoon garden markers as well as baked goods.

Paint Night: DIY or coordinate with a studio that offers them

Clothing Drive – pay per pound: Host a clothing drive where you get paid per pound of clothing collected (ex Epilepsy Foundation or directly with Savers FUNdrive)

Cupcake Wars: Girls pay $5 each to enter a dozen cupcakes. One cupcake from each entry is given to judges. The rest were sold for $1 each to girls, friends, and family. Have a few winners chosen by judges and also a winner that was “crowd favorite”… people could pay $1 per vote toward their favorite. While everyone shopped for cupcakes and waited for winners to be announced have an older troop run several tables with baking related activities/games. Invite a pastry chef to have a table to demonstrate cake decorating techniques. Sell unfrosted cupcakes for $1 each to decorate at the pastry chef’s table.

Thin Mint Sprint: Host a 5k run

Dance: Special Someone and Me dance. Have a DJ and photobooth. Sell snacks/drinks/ice cream.

Cookbooks/Songbooks: Design, make and sell books

Applebees Flapjack Fundraiser: Applebees has a program where Scouts can sell tickets for a pancake breakfast. Scouts can greet, clean up tables, etc
