Girl Scouts: Council’s Own Programs

Girl Scout’s National badge program is uniform throughout all councils and earned by Girl Scouts everywhere. Council’s Own and Council Patch Programs are developed within a specific council and can span a variety of topics. These unique programs are often developed by older troops or Scouts working on higher awards. Many provide an opportunity to learn more about the region or raise awareness about an issue. Most Council Patch programs can be done by Scouts of any council. Some Council Patches require visiting local attractions and are great to include on vacations or road trips. Read the patch requirements for details before starting.
